The (EPIC) Apprentice

Apprenctice training courses
Worcester Bosch Group has been running a special Apprentice Training Scheme for the past few years. Around 1,600 apprentices apply to get a place on this prestigious course, only 20 get accepted. So we were delighted when Joe, our junior apprentice, won a place on the course.
Joe has already successfully completed his 2-year plumbing apprenticeship and is now undergoing training to become a gas engineer. The Worcester course will complement his regular training, covering both theory - delivered in their new training facility - and practical experience, which will be invaluable. Joe will be going out on the road with a specialist Worcester Bosch trainer to get hands-on experience in boiler servicing and repair work - and nothing beats this high level real-life experience.
Only the best
We choose to work with Worcester because we admire the quality of their products. We also love their passion for supporting business excellence at every level, which includes providing training and support to help engineers to become outstanding at what they do. The company works with colleges and training providers throughout the UK, as well as having their own specially developed multi-million pound training facility.
Hard work reaps rewards
It’s not going to be 'a walk in the park'. Joe will be tested and assessed across a range of skills throughout the period, and this includes peripheral aspects of the job such as people skills, the importance of personal presentation can make a real difference to an engineer’s success. The Worcester training will be in addition to Joe’s ongoing college training so he will end up with a raft of industry qualifications that will be of great value to him as an individual, and to Epic.
The course runs throughout 2018 and Joe will receive his final assessment at the end of year. We are backing him all the way and look forward to seeing how well he gets on.
